Provisional patent
Can someone give me advice on whether I should use legal zoom to do my provisional patent? If not, then is it wise to get a tool kit to help? How many pages is a provisional patent also? Thanks.

Re: Provisional patent
I did a quick search to see public info on the company and my quick search located the following:
http://www.rushonbusiness.com/2007/01/zoom-past-legal.html#emailForm
https://www.google.com/webhp?rlz=1C1SKPL_enUS460US460&sourceid=chrome-instant&ie=UTF-8&ion=1#hl=en&rlz=1C1SKPL_enUS460US460&q=legalzoom+complaints+2010&revid=1022281185&sa=X&ei=KBQrULarMuWJiAKm_oDYCA&ved=0CIABENUCKAE&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_cp.r_qf.&fp=8171fb77536c4765&ion=1&biw=1920&bih=995
You may want to consider DIY books from Nolo Press or Provisional Patent Filing software such as ProvisionalBuilder from www.PowerPatent.com
The number of pages depend on the technology, but typically between 10-20 pages and about 4-10 figures.

Legal Zoom
I have talked to folks who worked with them.
The news is not glowing....
I am sure they can do good work but I think you really want to learn WHAT they do by learning a bit about the process yourself..
Take a look at this cool website all about HOW TO PATENT YOURSELF using videos...
http://provisionalpatentvideo.com/patent-instructions/Provisional_Patent/Patent.html
You can get a free NDA there and also look at the actual USPTO "How To" Section (which is pretty lame) and look at videos showing how to file a Provisional Application for Patent...
