In China aim for Manufactures who are 15 years or older and have Local Chinese Government approval and many of their own patents is also a very good sign, and industry standards approval's.

Find out who they OEM For, the brands they manufacture for also.

Those are web links to search engines that can help you find a manufacture in Asia, personally I lean towards both Taiwan and Hong Kong for new products.

Some Companies in Hong Kong, have auditors to keep the process clear and transparent.

There are many others also (Specialized Search engines), do your due diligence research on the manufactures first, I have learnt a lot from a Taiwan agent who specializes in checking out manufactures in Taiwan and China before you do business with them.

Look for markers like companies who use Pay-Pay, consider asking for references from distributors they supply
