Recession inspires people to start own businesses
http://www.usatoday.com/money/perfi/basics/2011-03-07-lifestages07_ST_N.htm
Here's the excerpt:
The perks of working for yourself
In July 2008, Jack D'Alelio was let go from a job he loved. "I decided then that I was never going back to work for anyone else," says D'Alelio, 54, a chemist who had worked for biotech, pharmaceutical and chemical companies.
He launched Nimble Jacks Enterprises, which creates and sells "innovative solutions to everyday problems." One product: the "Magic Toob Lampshade Leveler," enhances the gripping power of a clip-on lampshade. "I haven't made much money... and I've put in a lot of 16-hour days. But this is still the best job I've ever had," he says.
It ain't much but I'll take it!

USATODAY Article
Jack,
I am very happy for you. I can count on one hand the number of people I know that have gotten into USAToday and you are one of them. Great accomplishment and hopefully you will see some activity and contacts because of it. Hang in there.

Derek
That was a great piece of video. I can readily identify with the "journey" part as my foray into entrepreneurship has been quite a ride. You do whatever you have to do to keep moving that rock up the hill and with a little luck, it will one day start gaining momentum on its own!

I think everyone can get something from BOB PARSONS ideal's, the Mt disappointment is also a very good point to take note of for Inventors, being ambitious is a very good point made in that video, there is a clear difference like Bob pointed out.
