What do you do when you Have a great Ideal ?

What do you do when you have a great Idea and you know it would be a hit and Could make millions and is a very marketable idea . but Don't have the funds to get it Patent or to get a protype made? and cant borrow money from a bank . do you just Forget it about it or try submitting it to the sites you stated not to submit know they will be the ones getting rich from it..

Please take what I am about to say the right way. I am not trying to discourage you in any way from pursuing your dream. It is meant to help you not go into debt. I get contacted daily by Inventors that all say they have the next million dollar idea, but have not done enough research to prove they are correct. They are basing it off of hope and are very easy prey for some companies to bleed them dry as they try and get their product to market. Inventing is a business and needs to be treated like one. Yes, there are million dollar ideas out there, but remember they are the exception not the rule. Make informed decisions with your head and facts, not your heart and emotion.

You need to do as much research as possible to make sure your idea is not already on the market or a better product is not out there. To many Inventors rush to put money into gettting a PPA or file for a patent before they even take a couple of hours to do some research, look in stores, online, in catalogs or any other area you think that product could be sold. A lot of Inventors think if they do a patent search they are good to go. That is far from correct. There are a number of products on the market that are not patented. And there are a lot of patents out there with no product on the market. Why? Because Patentable does not equal marketable.
Researching only costs you time. Spending money that isn't necessary is just wrong. Doing thorough research up front can save you money, heartache, and keep you from pursuing a dead end.
